Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Thursday (May 14, 2026) that the death toll from Russian drone and missile strikes on the capital Kyiv had risen to five, with around another 40 people wounded.
“As of now, already five people have been reported killed in Kyiv as a result of last night’s Russian attack,” he wrote in a statement on social media, adding: “There must be a just response to all these strikes.”
